Hi, and thanks for stopping by!
I’m Annette and I am a qualified tour guide in Florence, Italy.
I was born and raised in Denmark, and my first working experience was as a ballet dancer in a theatre in Copenhagen. After various stays in Florence, I finally decided to move to this charming city in 1989, and it has been my home ever since.
For many years I worked in the fashion world, but then decided to follow my passion for history and art. I set out to discover the wonderful treasures of my adoptive town, and became a tour guide.
Florence is a concentrate of history, stunning architecture and extraordinary art masterpieces gathered in a rather small area, and the entire city centre is, as a matter of fact, a Unesco World Heritage Site.
This city offers you worldwide known monuments and museums, but also lesser-known pearls hidden in the narrow streets and tiny squares, shopping possibilities from high end luxury brands to open air markets and, not to be forgotten, wonderful food and wine! The choice of what to see and where to go might feel as an overwhelming task. As a local and qualified tour guide, I will be able to help you get the most out of your time here.
Whether you are looking for a walking tour, or your interests go towards the city’s many museums and churches, whether you are a first-timer or know Florence already, but would like to go deeper into your favourite subject, I can tailor your tour to your needs.
So, if your journey goes to this fabulous city, do contact me and I will be happy to guide you through its wonders!
Below you will find some suggestions for museums and churches to visit in Florence. Click on the photos to discover the details!
